Against the backdrop of contemporary debates in the field of mood research I develop a transactional and process theoretically informed perspective on mood as transitional phenomenon. I open with a critical discussion of prominent positions in the psychological and phenomenological investigation of moods and related phenomena. Then, I employ Gilbert Simondon’s theory of individuation to develop a conceptual framework that allows me to flesh out a new perspective on moods. By contrasting mood processes with ressentiment I aim to concretise the specifics of ›mooded‹ transitions.Downloads
