This article presents a model of temporalization, or time work, as a social practice and mode of biographization from the perspective of a praxeological sociology of knowledge. The focus is on knowledge that emerges through the practical engagement with norms, expectations, invocations and framework conditions while substantiating action. This way, social and normative ideas of time, the use of time, life courses and representations of time as well as the logic of dealing with time in biographization and the performative practice of temporalization can be reconstructed. This perspective is adopted in an exemplary interpretation of biographical interviews in order to be able to discuss the analytical potential of such a concept of temporalization.
