New results in the field of German friendship research
Keywords:
Friendship research, qualitative research, analytic social psychology.Abstract
The german friendship research has neglected the social cultural context so far. Therefore the authors of the study chose their participants out of the two social »milieus« of Schulze (1992).The friendship research has stated a difference in the way men and women conduct their friendships. Four discussion groups have been created two in each milieu differentiated between men and woman. The material has been interpreted first concerning the content secondly on a psychoanalytic-interactional frame. Common dimensions in all of the four groups have been found out, the results have been compared. The main difference in the friendships is not the gender one but the belonging to different milieus.Downloads
