The romantic concept of love
Keywords:
Romantic concept of love, longing, love as a work of arts, idealization of the love-object, alienation, self-fulfilment.Abstract
Some literary examples are used to discuss parts of the romantic concept of love. The accents are: romantic longing and idealization of the love-object. The author emphasizes, that the romantic concept of love is part of the romantic philosophy of life. In this context love does not intend a trivial embellishment of common life. On the contrary it concerns a kind of love, which can only function in an anti-bourgeois life, which first of all can be found in artistic freedom – a kind of love, which does not support adaptation, but is essential part of self-fulfilment and escape from alienation.Downloads
