Besser scheitern. Überlegungen, Kommentare und Fragen angesichts eines konstruktionistischen Dialogkonzepts

Reflecting the growing popularity of the dialogical self in psychology this contribution searches for a psychological theory of dialogue. First, the social constructionist proposal is discussed, considering the constructionist concept of social practice and the model of the individual participant in this practice it implies. Second, drawing from Bakhtin’s notion of dialogicality, it is suggested in line with constructionism that dialogues are basically a form of shared social practice. However, the dialogical character of this practice is subject to certain preconditions; and as these include competencies and motives of the participants in dialogue they imply changes for the conceptualization of a dialogical self.Downloads
