Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify different classes for mobbing and to investigate the role of gender and age. Data were analyzed from 1,084 persons, who attended mobbing consultants. The analysis was based on protocols of the sessions. 16 different classes of mobbing were identified by content analysis techniques. In addition, gender and age differences emerged. Female mobbing victims have been attacked more often by »verbal attacks« than male mobbing victims. Women have been attacked by mobbing more often than males. Persons in the age group »31 up to 40 years « and »41 up to 50 years« are more often in the mobbing category than younger persons.
