Abstract

Starting from concrete problems that practitioners in the Viennese drug field are facing due to neoliberal changes in the funding system, a critical-psychological analysis of the conditions and meanings is unfolded. The constraints and possibilities of a humanistic drug work under the concrete conditions are explored. Finally, the boundaries of a humanistic approach itself are brought into question.
