It is the aim of the present article to describe a specific method of trauma processing we have developed and consequently named »PreVerb Trauma Integration«. In order to process and integrate traumatic events that happened in the pre-verbal development phase, we combined techniques of craniosacral bodytherapy with trauma specific resource generation and gentle trauma confrontation.Furthermore, the article provides an overview of the relevance and consequences of early and extreme stress experience and describes how this method of trauma confrontation we developed is applied, especially in case of somatoform, dissociative symptoms. Based on what we have seen so far during our practical work we conclude that this combination technique seems to be an appropriate means to access and integrate traumatic memories in adults caused by traumatic events in the pre-verbal development phase.Downloads
