This article presents the approach of an evidence-based Train-the-Trainer (TTT)-model to support schools on their way towards inclusion. Based on the analysis of the key success factors of inclusive education and the findings regarding effective professional development and TTT-interventions, we developed a process accompanying support system for inclusive schools in the form of a TTT-model. Over a three-year period, the TTT-model will be implemented and evaluated in twelve schools in cooperation with a local school board. On the one hand the project aims to build competence of teachers and self-efficacy in dealing with challenging teaching-learning situations by a high-quality professional development. On the other hand, the systematic qualification of trainers will be considered in order to develop an economic and efficient possibility to disseminate inclusive professional development contents in the context of the current school transformation process.Downloads
